Embroidery lace is created by adding openwork embroidery patterns to fabric or tulle using an embroidery lace machine.
This lace includes types where the base fabric remains intact, types with holes, and types where the base fabric is dissolved leaving only the embroidery thread. It is one of the most widely used types of lace.
