[Product description]
A template for accurately marking fabric before smocking stitches.
This plate allows you to mark evenly spaced dots.
After marking, choose your preferred stitch and enjoy smocking or sashiko-style one-stitch embroidery using embroidery thread.
Prepare your preferred fabric or item such as clothing or eco bags to apply smocking.
Recommended tools: water-erasable marking pen (e.g. 24-414), No. 25 embroidery thread, and an embroidery needle.
You can also enjoy adding smocking to store-bought items like detachable collars, T-shirts, or children’s clothing.
For 5mm interval smocking, lightweight to medium fabrics are best, as gathering is required.
For 10mm intervals, the wider spacing allows for clean results even with heavier fabrics.
