When choosing a needle, the thickness should match the fabric. Traditionally, Japanese sewing needles were called "Japanese needles" and Western sewing needles were called "Western needles."
Japanese needles are hard and resistant to bending for precise stitching, while Western needles are softer (bendable) to prevent breakage.
The "Kizuna" sewing needle lineup includes both Japanese and Western standards. Both types feature shafts that are hard to break and bend, so you can select the needle that feels easiest to use without worry.
