[Product Description]
“Takashima Chijimi” has been produced in Takashima City, located northwest of Lake Biwa, since the Edo period, around the Tenmei era.
This tradition has been passed down to the present day as chijimi, crepe, and yangtze fabric.
The fabric features a unique texture (raised bumps) that reduces skin contact, providing a cool feel with excellent moisture absorption, making it suitable for Japan’s hot and humid climate.
With a thickness similar to that of muslin, it can be used for a wide range of applications, from clothing to interior items.
