[Product Description]
Kibira is a 100% hemp fabric with a longer history than cotton or silk, made by twisting hemp stalks into threads. The threads are unevenly twisted, resulting in a rough, stiff fabric with knots, wrinkles, neps, and imperfections. This hemp is used for the blinds/screens seen in the Tale of Genji, store curtains, tablecloths, clothing, bags, etc. This hemp is a little thinner but has more resilience. This material is a little thinner but has a firm feeling. *The second image is taken with a gray board placed on the right side. *Please note that this material is easy to get weaving wrinkles during delivery.
