The "whale shaku" is a measure that uses the shaku-kanpo system as its unit of measurement,
It is written in Japanese and correctly reads "Kujirajaku" (くじらじゃく).
It was originally made from the whales' whiskers, hence the name.
The kanejaku is different from the kanejaku used in construction,
A kanejaku is approximately 30.3 cm in length, whereas a kameshaku is approximately 38 cm in length.
Thus, for example, the correct size for a Rokushaku loincloth is approximately 228 cm, not 182 cm.
