Pile" is soft and fluffy and has a pleasant texture.
Towels, which we use every day, are one such example, but it is also a fabric that is widely used for clothing and sundry goods.
Pile has a unique fluffy elasticity because the surface of the fabric is covered with loop yarns.
This elasticity is due to the cushioning properties of the pile portion, so the pile is relatively lightweight even in thick fabrics.
